Just a reminder about the big race this weekend. This is the first time we have offered a Cat 3 championships. If it turns out not to be competitive then we will combine the 3's with the 1&2's like we have done in the past. 2002 Oregon State Road Race Championships July 28th & August 4th Oregon Cup Race #6 Location: This year's race is located in the upper reaches of the beautiful Hood River Valley. Staging for the race will be located at Toll Bridge County Park near Parkdale Oregon. To get there take I-84 to Hood River, then take exit 64 onto Hwy 35 heading towards Government Camp. Drive south on Hwy 35 for 14.5 miles before turning right onto Toll Bridge Road, travel 1/2 mile and the park is on your right (if you cross the river at anytime you have gone too far). Allow 1.5 hours travel time from Portland. Hotel and motel accommodations are located 15-20 minutes away in Hood River, along with camping at the event site. For camping reservations and prices call Toll Bridge Park @ 541-352-5522. Course Description: The course consist of rolling to flat terrain on a 11-mile loop, located near the base of Mt. Hood. There will be several tight corners and turns along with a net elevation gain of 662 feet a lap. The finish line is located at the end of a 400-meter straight away. This year's course favors aggressive riders with ample opportunity for escape. Day of race is $20 and $12 for Junior riders. OBRA membership is required for participation and one day licensing will be available on race day for $5. Day of race registration will open at 7:30 and end 15 minutes before the start of each race.
