Here is the race flyer for the Bull Run Road Race which is being held on Sept. 23rd. Come out and race on a course that travels through an area commonly refered to as "little switzerland."   This course should be a great tune up for the cross season. (actually I just made that up becouse it sounded cool)
We are working on putting together I slightly toned down course for the juniors. We will post updates as they become available. Don't forget to check out the course map and topo at gscamerati.org

Thanks

THE COURSE: This challenging out and back course skirts the boundary of the Bull Run Reservoir. Starting at Dodge Park, the race climbs to Marmot Rd through open farmland to Lolo Pass Rd. at the base of Mt. Hood. It then climbs an alpine style road with great vistas of the mountain all the way to the turn around point. Difficult climbs and technical descents highlight the route.

COURSE DESCRIPTION: Starting on Lusted Rd. at Dodge Park, climb about one mile to Ten Eyck Rd. Turn right follow Ten Eyck past Roslyn Lake for a mile to a left turn at Shipley. Climb Shipley about 2 miles to a left turn at Marmot Rd. Follow Marmot until you reach Barlow Trail Rd. turn left, stay on Barlow Trail until you reach Lolo Pass Rd, turn left. Follow Lolo Pass until you reach a split in the road. Stay left at the split climbing up forest service Rd. 18. Climb for 6 miles until you reach the junction to forest service Rd. 11. At this point the course loops back onto itself. The only change on the way back is at the intersection of Marmot and Shipley. Do not descend Shipley. Stay on Marmot until you reach Ten Eyck Rd. Turn right on Ten eyck and climb about half mile to the finish at Roslyn Lake.
