I have seen this a lot. I think they are just "resting" between "sets." I
believe they further justify their lack of gusto by stating they are just
working out to "maintain," rather than "build."

There's nothing wrong with asking if you can "Squeeze in a set," especially
if you are a girl (I don't believe the gym is completely politically
correct).

In college, as we stretched after our morning weight workouts, we'd joke
about marrying rich women and just hanging out at the gym all day. We'd
wear nice athletic attire and drink expensive athletic drinks. Most of us
would have groupies who'd wait around just to see us do one set of front
squats or something. I think it's really funny you've actually found
someone living the dream.

Enough about number sizes and onto a very serious issue...

WHAT'S WITH ALL THE GUYS (I don't see women doing this) AT THE GYM THAT COME

TO JUST HANG OUT? Seriously, they come in, they hang out and talk to their
buddies, (usually in the way), they LOOK like they might be there to
workout, since they are wearing the approprite workout attire, but they
don't lift a single weight. I mean, you don't just accidentally drop by the
gym to hang out, right? What's up with that?

Does this happen where you work out?

Are you one of THEM?

What should we call THEM?
