My number has more than 2 inches of white space on all four sides. So
it's about 4.5 inches taller and wider than it needs to be. Which means
that why I put it on my jersey, it gets in my armpits and I can't use my
back pockets. It's impossible to pin it on correctly. It's also very
unattractive.

I suspect it's too late to get different numbers for 2007. Scissors?"

I would not suggest that. Here is the rule:
"10. - NUMBERS
...
10.3 - No rider shall cut, fold, mutilate, trim or apply stickers to the
race number, nor shall they sell, trade or give the issued number to another
individual. Penalty or disqualification is at the discretion of the Race
Official."

I find the numbers think a bit funny. I am smaller than just about
everybody but I can still get the numbers on OK. How come it is an issue
for bigger people with more "real estate" to pin it to?
