I think Mikes point is clear the super young racers are almost a non factor this is a masters racers environment, with masters capable of competing in all open categories. Not just competitive but winning many of the events, this benefits all, young and slightly aged( enough old guy already) OBRA has a unique opportunity with the wealth of masters experience that has allowed us to groom younger racers for bigger events. Even our out of town racers have found this a super competitive race scene, let alone the number of masters NATS this year. AS far as support yes indeed masters are OBRA so whatever it take to get a format that works for racers and promoters let's getter' done

It seems everybody is concerned about who is best represented in the various races...these numbers are a good place to start. The 30 somethings are certainly the largest segment of racers represented, but I can't help but wonder if they are actually so well represented at the races. It would be interesting to know how these numbers add up in terms of actual race participation. Perhaps the "old" guys are more consistent in their participation in OBRA events than the younger guys and thus do more to support the local racing scene.
