Richard is correct. There was a vote by the clubs two years ago at the
annual meeting to ask race organizers to keep masters at 40+. It was decided
that it would be STRONGLY encouraged but that masters other then 40+ could
be run it the race organizer wanted.

I thought it was a decision to track the 40+ for bar points only? and we as
promoters out there were allowed to have a master's category for anything
over 30+? I was there at the OBRA Meeting but can't remember exactly.
Example,
30+
35+
40+
etc, etc.
The state championships have a masters age category starting at 30-39.
Maybe Sal or Candi can help clear it all up. I know last year it was
confusing to the promoters on what was actually the rule, at least for some
of us.
As to changing the ruling, there are rules for that.
