Many OBRAers prob'y know about the Mon./TH. Noontime rides, now in their
13th year, that leave the SW Corner of Pioneer Sq. on Monday and Th.s at
12:15. These training rides have served as a launching point for a number of
commuter and sport riders to make the transition to a higher level of ride
intensity or racing.

We start with a slow warm up through town and then on Mondays ride two fast
laps of Fairmount Blvd. with regroups after each, then go up to the top of
Barnes Hill near the radio towers. A fast descent through Wa. Park and back
to the workplace by about 1:30 pm.

On Thursdays we go slow up Cornell to 53d, hammer up to Skyline, regroup,
ride slow to Cornell and then another sprint up Greenleaf, regroup, and then
ride back down through Wa. Park., sneaking back into the office again about
1:30pm.

Be daring, don't shower afterward.

The warmup and regroups keep us together and allow anyone to have a
chance to take a hill.

SO send your young and slow so the wily old riders can beat them; send your
old and slow too. We have fun and the ride serves a number of OBRA folks as
good short training in mid week.
