We need bike lanes on every kind of road in the US, no exceptions.

I was almost killed by a car last year. That changed my perspective on life.

We are facing an obesity crisis and global warming. Our infrastructure, nationwide, is crumbling. Our economy is very unkind to middle America. Given these problems, bike lanes are among the solutions that our elected people need to deliver. That's what they get paid to do.

(Last month, I was in a benefit race for a Junior rider, who was killed, while training in a group of ~8 riders. It could have been any one of us.)

As some of you who may have read any of my previous posts may know, I am a public employee for a certain municipality in the Portland metro area. Given my status, I have to be very careful when I pursue what might be construed as “political activities” while on the job (it’s 7:55 am right now). So please consider this a heads-up.
