To all the time-trialers, du/tri-athletes, people always wanting to do a
stage race but are nervous about doing one, or people looking for an
excuse to put on some serious race mileage on their ITT bikes:
I would just like to give my endorsement for the Deschutes River Valley
ITT Festival (ITT stage race), April 28-30. This race is a new concept
where each stage is a time-trial. The people putting this event on are
the same people that have put on the NW 40k ITT series (aka
'build-for-speed') years past on the OBRA schedule. The NW 40K ITT
series was always well organized, good well-thought courses, and had a
pleasant atmosphere. That is usually what I look for in a race. I
expect no different for this event. The organizers also just get a kick
out of watching the athletes compete up close and personal. Makes you
feel important in some regard, you know ;-) ?
So think about it. Email raoterri@aol.com
(the race organizers) for more
details.
Thanks for your time.
Sincerely,
Jay Freyensee
