As of today Monday, January 30 there are 18 cat 5 registered, leaving space for 32 more. Men cat 4 there are 19 registered leaving space for 79. There are less than 10 in each of the other categories pre-registered. Remember if you sign up on line, you will still need to complete an OBRA Waiver the day of the race, you can save a couple minutes by having that completed when you arrive at the cafe. http://www.obra.org/pdfs/waiver.pdf If you mail a check, please include a completed and signed waiver. Make it clear what category you will be racing. For example, if you are racing the master 40+ cat 5 race, don't put cat 5 as your category on the waiver. Put the race you will be entering in that space. Make checks payable to: 2 Dog Racing. Also, Augusto Carneiro will be donating a pound of fresh roasted coffee to each first place winner except the junior categories. Registration at the early season races is hectic so I strongly encourage you to get your obra membership ahead of time. You can drop a form in the mail or go to https://www.signmeup.com/site/reg/register.aspx?fid=NJ2VLK7. One last precaution - Last year the Cherry Pie race met its fields limits on many fields (Cat 4/5, Cat 3 etc.) We had to turn riders away. If you want to guarantee a spot they you need to preregister. For you new riders - you need to send a standard release (http://obra.org/pdfs/waiver.pdf) to the race organizer along with your entry fee by the pre-registration deadline. The 2nd race of the season - The Jack Frost Time trial especially needs pre-registration. If you pre-register for a time trial then you do not need to show up before your posted start time. If you do not pre-register then you must show up before the cut off time and then MAY have to wait a hour or more for your start time.
