Do you like bike racing? Do you enjoy participating in the sport? Do you
have a spouse or significant other who comes with you regularly to your
races? Then we want you to help us out! No experience is necessary, and we
will provide the training and materials.

How can you help? Take our clinic yourself, send a friend or relative,
and/or pass this on to your cycling friends in the Seattle area.

USCF OFFICIATING CLINIC
Category 4 (new) and Category 3 ( Upgrade )
Presented by Dot Abbott & Phil Miller

The Abbott house in Bellevue
Saturday, May 5 at 1:30 PM

For new officials we will cover the basics of officiating and cover some
of the track rules. This portion will last approximately 3 hours, and
includes an open-book test. The Category 3 upgrade will last about 5
hours. We will review the racing rules, go more in depth on the track
rules, and cover your duties as Chief Judge and Chief Referee. To upgrade
you must have worked a minimum of 10 races or have the approval of the
instructors. Closed book test followed by an open book portion.

Please R.S.V.P. to
<mailto:TheAb-@dotabbott.com>TheAb-@dotabbott.com so we have an
idea of the space and materials needed for the classes.

Bring: paper, pen, hi-liters, and a friend. $5 for pizza (optional).

Directions: From I-405 take the NE 8th Street exit. Go east to the light
at 124th. Go right (S) to 2nd St. Go left (E) to the T-intersection at
129th Ave SE. Go right (S) about 1 1/2 blocks to 23 129th Ave SE. House is
on the right, just past the diamond-shaped curve sign. 425-467-9496
