I feel that it's important enough to bother you with. Camas Wheel organizes a group ride from their Vancouver shop on Saturday mornings. This past Saturday's route was a loop out around Sauvie Island. Upon completing the loop about 15 of us stopped at the market to refuel and take a breather. I'd estimate that at least half of the group went into the market and purchased drinks or food. As we were gulping our calories, chatting, and generally enjoying the beautiful morning, the owner of the business opened the front door and began asking us to leave. She said "Too many bikes in parking lot, go away...now!" Our group was not obstructing access to her business nor were we causing any commotion. The parking area next to the bridge was chocked full of cars with bike racks on top, all potential customers for this market. I wonder if she shoed those folks away as well? I'd like to recommend to anyone who trains out at Sauvie Island to bring your own fuel or be prepared to get hassled if you have to go into the market.
