Time to bring the 'FS-Tube' thread to a close. I feel that karma has struck me down for laughing. Today on my lunch ride, I got two flats. The first was from a 1.5 inch roofing nail that went in the tread and out the sidewall. The tube was not salvagable, a total loss. The second was also an instantaneous flat while spinning along at a fairly high speed (~35mph); pinch flat, two holes. Thankfully the glueless patch spanned both holes. Soooo, the almighty Tube-god(ess) must be laughing now. That is, us mortals may consider taking tubes more seriously. |
