Some numbers from the Livestong Ride..... Lance left Nike with his group at 7:30 am. He road the first half of the 40 mile route then took off toward Hagg Lake riding about 10 miles out then returning to the 40 mile route. He stopped at the Survivor's rest stop south of Cornelius for about 15 minutes then continued riding completing about 60 miles in 2 hours and 23 minutes including stops. (I was in the ride command post listening to the protective detail on motorcycles who were trying to stay ahead of him and block traffic. According to them he was riding half the time with no hands and carrying on a conversation as if he was taking a short cruise through the neighborhood!)
