It's about time. I have done Triathalons for years and they have been doing this for quite some time. It's about time the bicycling community finally moved into the 21st century. I'd love to know just how bad I got my a$$ kicked. Cudo's to all those involved in making this happen. This seasons cross races have been improved by the addition of AMB Chip Timing, provided by AthletesLounge.com. AMB race timing systems have been utilized at the UCI World Championships since 1993, the Olympic Games since 1996 and most recently the Activ Chip was utilized in the 2004 & 2005 Tour de France, Olympic Marathon and Triathlon. In addition, Athlete's Lounge will also be providing our on-line registration services. How does chip timing work? Each participant will be issued a unique chip at registration that MUST be worn on the ankle via the provided strap. When crossing the finish line (and other detection points), a lap time is reported and results are tabulated in real time. Once your event has ended you will exit through a finishing chute where your chip will be collected and results will be displayed on flat LCD screens.
