Oprah Drops Show Topic On Banning City Cyclists CHICAGO, IL (BR&IN)-TV talk show host Oprah Winfrey canned the idea to do a show on outlawing cyclists = from city streets. The idea was posted last week on her web site, www.oprah.com, in a section where she lists possible upcoming show topics = and solicits opinions. Word went out across the bike industry = immediately about the show. People were urged to write and protest the = idea. The topic called for discussing possible laws to limit where a = person can ride a bike in a city. The web site asked for stories about people involved in accidents "because of a careless bike rider on a city street." On Thursday, the topic showed up in the = "killed" show topics folder on the web site.
