You'll be very interested in Section 1, Item M " Sports equipment with a purchase price of $500 or more per item." and Section 2, Item 3: " The tax liability imposed on the consumer by this section is considered paid at the time the consumer pays to the retailer the purchase price and tax on the luxury item." They are going to try to tax luxury items, such as sporting goods equipment over $500, AND require the business' such as bike shops to collect the tax for the state, which makes that company become an unpaid tax collector for the state, adding costs to their operation, which in the long run could cause the price of the products they sell to increase.
