Subject: Bike Raffle
Date: 01/20/2001 12:29 AM
From: Darren Smith
Hi to all in OBRA land,
My name is Darren Smith, I am raising money to benefit the Lance Armstrong
Foundation. Im sure most of you know what this is and what it is all about
but for more information, look at the web site at:
http://www.laf.org/I_Want_To_Help/Raise_Funds/

Anyway, the subject of this email is Bike Raffle and I am putting together a
raffle of which the proceeds will go to LAF.

The GRAND PRIZE is a Bianchi Giro 105 Road Bike, provided by Peter Kukula,
Director for Team 800.com ( www.team800.com )
http://www.bianchiusa.com/sections/bikes/road/giro/index.html
So far, I have other great prizes lined up including:
-Nike Portable Digital Audio Player from RIO Digital Audio
http://www.riohome.com/products/nike120.htm
    -Clifbar Products
-Running Shoe Certificate for shoes up to $100 from Portland   Running
Company
    -60-minute massage Certificate(s)
    -Vittoria Road Tires http://www.vittoria.com/
Other possible prizes (which I will finalize a list by Friday next) may
include Starbucks, or other coffee-type certificates, tanning sessions, more
massage certificates, other bike accessories.

I would like to sell a maximum of 600 tickets and I hope to have between
20-25 prizes so the odds will be good. The draw date will be February 23,
which is a Friday. I will have a CPA helping me to keep track of things and
to pick the winners names. Email or snail mail written notice of prize will
be how we contact the winners but I will post a list of the winners via the
OBRA/topica email. As for the cost of a ticket, it will be $10 per ticket,
BUT if you prefer to make a larger donation PER ticket, that would be great.
It is a great cause and I hope to make this an annual event.
Unfortunately, I didnt get my stuff together until yesterday so this is
going to be quick, around 30 days until we pick the winner. Thank you for
reading this rather long email, but just think, $10 could get you a new ride
for this coming season. Take care,
Sincerely,

Darren Smith
