The phrase "jumbo shrimp" is quasi-contradictory and thefore an oxymoron. It is actually a pun, since both words have social connotations. The phrase "large giant" is similar to the phrase "hollow tube," in that the adjective is not required for description of the noun, and is therfore redundant. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Peter Murphy" <murphy_-@hotmail.com> To: <ob-@topica.com> Sent: Wednesday, July 28, 2004 5:19 PM Subject: RE: [OBRA Chat] Seeking a Large Giant Jumbo shrimp.
