Hello Please direct your browser to the following url to see different types of number placement Some are good and some are acceptable. http://www.halffastvelo.com/images/kt_pir.jpg This is pretty similar to what the finish line video camera sees. There are still many people with completely unreadable numbers. The farther from the side panel/seam on your jersey the number sits, the more dificult it is to make out certain digits. Also, there are people who only use four safety pins. The number flaps around and is hard for the human eye to make out in a sprint what with all the distracting movement. Same for the video camera.
