Ultra endurance athletes often recommend Calmag or calcium magnesium supplements to control cramping. Some people are prone to cramping and I am one of them. I first used calmag to fight acute cramping in the Race Across Oregon last year while competing on a two person relay. It worked like a miracle. Even though I was taking fluids, electrolytes and sodium I got to a point where I could not ride. At one point virtually every muscle in my legs was either cramping or on the verge of it. When I stretched one way my muscles would cramp in another....not a good sign with 350 miles to go. A race official saw what was going on and gave me some calmag. About fifteen minutes later I was able to get back on the bike and ride and a couple hours after that I felt back to normal. Now I keep some around and use it on especially hot days and it seems to work great.

Just wondering if anyone has had any experience using
the over the counter supplement called " Thermo-Tabs "

This tablet is a form of Sodium Chloride. It will aid
in cramping issues do to heat and sweating during
longer endurance events.

Currently doing research for longer events that will
take place this summer.

If you have any suggestions...let me know.

        Thanx
