Contributed by Jeff Rose - Eugene. I'm helping Vic Copeland well know
Masters Racer from San Diego organize this event. We visited the wind tunnel on
Monday and it is impressive. This is a true value - when you see one day camps
with no lodging offering the same thing for $1500.

Wind Tunnel Testing - Greg LeMond -13 Olympians - Not Your Average Camp!

Greg LeMond is putting on a one of a kind 'Fantasy Camp' to help raise money
to benefit his old coach and friend Eddie B., who lost his home during the
California wildfires.

Greg will be assisted by Olympians: Steve Hegg, Harvey Nitz, Nelson Vails,
Ken Carpenter, Wayne Stetina, Shaun Wallace, Roy Knickman, Danny Van Haute, Mark
Whitehead, Brent Emery, Thurlow Rogers, John Beckman, Dave Grylls, and multi
National Champion Scott Berryman. Everyone is donating his time, and paying
his own expenses to make this all possible.

The camp, designed for cyclists and triathletes of all ability, will be held
from Feb. 4-9, 2004 at the Tamarack Resort Hotel in Carlsbad, CA. It will
feature Wind Tunnel Testing at Allied Aerospace of San Diego (www.lswt.com) for
the first 20 to register, in their 'one of a kind' Low Speed Wind Tunnel. The
desire to go faster with less effort is always a cyclist dream, and wind tunnel
testing is the 'gold standard' for finding that elusive sweet spot where the
extra speed is free. This alone is a $1000 value.

In addition skills training will be taught by Greg and Olympians for
cornering, climbing, and time trials. Plus techniques for criterium, road, and
velodrome/track racing.

There will be special equipment demonstrations including: hypoxic tents and
hypoxic trainers, Velodyne trainers, and the Copeland Eccentric Trainer.
Complete performance testing will be available performed by Dr. Brent Kay -
including: VO2 Max, Lactate Threshold heart rate, Watts at Lactate Threshold &
Maximum, blood testing and body fat percentage.

Late afternoons will be a time to learn from Greg and the Olympians as they
discuss a wide range of topics, from training to memories about their racing
careers.

Saturday night there will be a special Black Tie Banquet to recognize the
1984 Olympic Cycling Team, Eddie B. and other well known athletes at Sea World.

Camp includes: Rudy Project USA Helmet and Sunglasses ($355 value),
Performance Testing, One banquet ticket, Jersey, DeFeet Socks, T-Shirt, Personal Photo
CD of photos with Greg and Olympians. Plus drawings for Reynolds Wheels and
Speedplay pedals. Ride support provided by Shimano MultiService MTB.

Dates: Feb. 4th to 9th, 2004
Price: $2,995.00 (includes hotel)
Single supplement +$300.00
