Halloween 'Cross Festival @ Johnson Farm
Saturday Nov. 1st
Cyclocross Crusade Race on Sunday, Nov. 2nd

Sat, Nov 1st- 'Cross Festival Events:
- Trail Run: X-Dog Events is hosting The "Halloween Havoc" 15 mile trail
run around Hagg Lake. See www.xdogevents.com <http://www.xdogevents.com>
for more information.
- Glass Blowing: "Spooky Glass Happening": Come watch an amazing craftsman
do his thang. Dave Johnson will be blowing special awards for Sunday's
race, as well as other items. Bring some cash...he'll have some of his
ware's for sale as well...you won't want to leave without a piece of his
work.
- Poker Ride: Ride and extended cross country course and gather your poker
hand along the way. Best hand wins. 2pm start time.
- Pig Roast and Potluck: The pig is provided by the Cross Crusade and is
expected to be done around 5pm. We are calling this a potluck...in other
words, please bring some food to add to the table if you expect to partake.
- Live Music: The 'Un-Popular Club' is setting up stage in the barn for
your listening enjoyment. They will be taking stage somewhere in the 7
o'clock hour or so.
- Hash Run: Oregon Hash House Harriers are hosting a hash run. Hashers
will start assembling anytime after 3pm, and the hounds will leave promptly
@ 4pm.
- Pumpkin Carving: Pumpkin carving will be happening all day. We'll provide
pumpkins, but bring your own carving utensils. Judging will take place
under the stars on Saturday evening. Pumpkins will be displayed in the
forest during Sunday's race.
- Haunt the Forest: Come help set the ambience for Sunday's race. Bring
some items to help create decorations to haunt the forest that the 'Cross
Crusade Race will go through on Sunday. Cobwebs, Blair Witch
artifacts...basically anything you might think would be a good addition.
- Overnight Camping: Overnight camping will be available on Saturday night
for the 'Cross Crusade Race(s) the following day. Bring your own essentials
(Tent, sleeping bag, water, food, toothbrush. It's rustic camping, not a
B&B).
- Bon Fire: A bon fire will be held Saturday night to add to your camping
enjoyment.
- Music (not live): Sounds will be going all day, or until the neighbors
complain. Wait....no neighbors...we'll have music going all day!
- Costumes: Costumes are encouraged for Saturday. A costume will also get
you a reduced entry fee at Sunday's 'Cross Crusade race. (wearing a Postal
jersey does not mean you are dressed as Lance Armstrong, so get creative!)
- Unofficial Events: Several, very unofficial, events (ie- a mile run
through the trees- in which, some forgot their togs) happened during last
years 'Cross Festival. Who knows what may transpire this year?

Cyclocross Crusade #5- Sunday, Nov. 2nd
- The normal 'Cross Crusade schedule of events will take place on Sunday.
Well, sort of normal....see below.
- Wear a costume! Special awards (at promoter's discretion) for the most
creative costumes. We also offer a reduced entry fee for those who race in
costume.
- Several hundreds of meters of new course have been added. Course will be
available for pre-ride on Saturday afternoon for those of you coming out to
take part in that day's festivities.

Mwuuuuuhahahahaha,
