Subject: Save Racing at Mt. Tabor

If you've ever enjoyed cycling, racing, or being a spectator at Mt. Tabor in
Portland, it’s not too late to save the reservoirs, or at least ensure a
strong voice for cycling interests in the redesign of the park. Preliminary
plans for construction have the section of road that crosses the upper
reservoirs covered to become a soccer field, which will eliminate the loop
used for the Mt. Tabor series. It is not too late to have a voice-
selection process for a park architect just began last week, and the whole
project is still very much up in the air. There is plenty of time to push
for a resolution that saves cycling in the park.

Rally and March to Save the Reservoirs at Mt. Tabor
This Sunday, 9/27
Meet at Hawthorne and 41st at 12:00 Noon
March to the reservoirs and circle them at 1:00pm

Organizers are expecting a few thousand people to show, and it should be a
lively crowd.

Bring your bike and bull horn. Find your way to the upper road and make
your opinions known!
