In the 3/4/5 sprint for the first hot spot there were people being thrown off in every direction all around me. I have no idea how I made it through that one unscathed. The last thing I saw out of the corner of my eye was the REAR wheel of a bike flying sideways toward my head! The adrenline must have kicked in because it landed right behind me instead of knocking me off. I don't think the lap count is what threw those riders off though ;-). Does anyone know what actually happened? Did someone fishtail into an overlapping front wheel or something like that? P.S. In last night's heat that last lap hurt, but I don't think we did an extra lap. Although I can't think straight enough to count laps when I'm racing, my computer says we went 36.5 miles (19 laps), as advertised. I'm glad I was still on the bike for that last lap to be able to "enjoy" the finish. P.S.S. And, thank you and all the officials for making racing possible at PIR! Due to the crash I was not able to bell on time so we added an extra laps as well as the leftover hotspots not used by 50 plus. Sorry if this threw any one off _________________________________________________________________ STOP MORE SPAM with the new MSN 8 and get 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail To respond to the whole group send to ob-@topica.com.
