Giro PDX 8/25

Yay! The smoke is gone. The crazy high temps are gone. Tommorow looks
perfect for some bike riding on really beautiful hills. Giro PDX is
on....I mean cancelled. I’ll have an aid staion half way through the route
with food and water. And as usual, the penultimate summit of Cook’s Butte
will be protected by the shrine of the Madonna del Ghisallo while she
shares her refreshments.

I might make one small route tweak after pre-riding it today. So check the
facebook event page for updates. This will be my last post here. See
you tomorrow!

Giro PDX is in TEN DAYS!

The annual, free, fun, hard group ride - Giro PDX is on 8/25 this year for
its third incidence.
In summary, it's the third ride in the www.rondepdx.com series. It's a
hill climbing road ride with a few dirt bits to keep it interesting.
53 miles, 7200 ft. of climbing. Starts and ends in SW Portland. Lots of
opportunities to shortcut the ride if those stats are daunting.
All the details here:

and here:

Please feel free to forward this email to your team email list and/or share
the facebook event page to any group page or friends.

See you there!

Due to multiple bike event conflicts, Giro PDX is not happening 8/18 as
previously planned. It is happening on 8/25 (when there are zero events on
the OBRA calendar). Save the date.
