Mudslinger tire choice

Scott...
I have not done the Mudslinger in several years, but "mud tires" (forget the
brand...it is all foo-foo) are what you want. The vast majority of climbing
is on logging roads with gravel (not all), but the mud can be very sticky
and slick when wet. There are some super fun descents if you have some
worthy tires and skills. Wide spaced knobs climb just fine (wet or dry) and
they sure help when it is wet. They can make the difference between staying
one the trail / double track as well as upright. I saw some impressive
wipeouts in my many times on that course. Oh yeah. I wiped out a couple of
times as well! One impressive endo. IT is a classic. Ripley always runs a
great Mudslinger. Have fun!

Let's suppose it's going to be... muddy. What would you run?

All of us run Clement PDX for all the XC races. Make sure to run them when
we race please. :P

2.3"
Peeps argue for their personal choice (I have three) but that is what I
look for.
